Senior UI/UX Designer (f/m/d) - Remote in Germany

Everyone says UX is dead. We say it's just getting started.

We're looking for a Senior UX Designer who's excited to shape automation experiences in the AI era, from visual programming all the way to interactive multi-agent systems.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

At Synera, design isn't a handoff, it's a core part of how we build. You'll join our three UX designers, map complex user journeys (many of them technical), and prototype solutions with AI and alongside developers. Together with Product Managers and developers, you'll help define the product vision, bring structure to ambiguity, and ensure that what we ship is not just functional, but truly intuitive. You'll work closely with real users from the engineering world and continuously refine the experience based on their feedback and real use cases.

Your tasks will be:

✨ Prototype & Design You break down complex problems, uncover user journeys and turn ideas into working prototypes fast, using AI and code rather than static Figma frames. From early concepts to shipped features, you own the experience.

📣 Drive Feedback Loops You take part in discovery with your PM, talk to real users (many are mechanical engineers), test with them and continuously improve the experience based on real-world use.

🤝 Work in the Product Trio With your Product Manager and Tech Lead, you shape the product vision, gather requirements and turn complexity into clarity. You're the voice of the user in a team that values engineering and usability equally.

🤖 Design AI-Native Experiences AI stands at the center of our product, from assistants to multi-agent systems. You design how engineers work with AI in our platform. Designing AI products brings its own challenges, and you're excited to take them on.

⏱ Deliver Value with Quality You balance creativity with pragmatism, ensuring high-quality design while meeting sprint goals. We ship iteratively, and your designs will have a fast, visible impact.

🌱 Strengthen Our Design Culture You take part in design critiques, help raise the bar across the team and keep our code-first design system consistent and intuitive.

⚡In the first 6 months: You take ownership of a part of the application, like user management.

⚡By 12 months: You fully own the UX for a product area.

🌱 WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

We believe in transparent conversations about compensation from the start. For this role, our planned salary range is:

Experienced Level: 65,500-84,100 EUR

We determine the level we hire you for based on your experience, the scope of responsibilities you'll take on, and the impact you can drive. While we typically hire within these bands, we're open to some flexibility for candidates who bring exceptional value to the role.

Check out this page to learn how we approach salary, career growth, and creating an environment where everyone can shine.

What we offer beyond salary:

• You shape the look and feel of an agentic platform for mechanical engineering as part of a collaborative, tightly integrated design team.

• You see the impact of your work in every release.

• You evaluate your designs with users from high-profile customers like BMW, NASA or Miele.

• Enjoy true flexibility: work when and where it suits you, and swap public holidays to match your own values and beliefs (as long as you have residency in Germany).

• Get home-office setup support + access to our office in Bremen.

• Use your personal development budget of €2,000 to attend conferences and trainings or buy interesting books to improve in an area of your choice.

• We don't count your vacation days, as we trust all our team members to decide what's best for them and the company.

• Prefer two wheels over four? 🚲 We’ve got you covered with JobRad.

• To support your personal and professional well-being, we offer company fitness with Wellpass and mental health platform nilo.

• Regional meet-ups, weekly virtual coffee breaks, and workshops. Plus, we come together as a whole company for our annual Summer Event! 🌈

🚀 WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Even if you don't meet these criteria perfectly but believe you have lots to bring to the role, we encourage you to apply. We know it's tough, but please keep in mind that you don't have to match all the listed requirements exactly to be considered for this role.

• You resonate with Synera's Core Values - they're central to how we work, and we'll explore them together in your first interview.

• 5+ years of experience as a UX Designer on a complex B2B or technical product, for example in SaaS, enterprise, fintech or tax software. You learn new domains fast and enjoy making complex systems understandable for different personas.

• You prototype with AI and code (vibe coding) and are comfortable with a code-first design system. You don't depend on Figma.

• You have designed AI features and know how to build user trust in them.

• You've worked in product trios with PMs and developers, and you've run user interviews and tests with real users, and use product analytics to inform your next steps.

• You speak English fluently (C1). German and/or French are a plus.

• Nice to have: an engineering background, or experience with desktop applications, 3D viewers or CAD / part processing.

📍WHERE YOU WORK

You live in Germany. Our office is in Bremen: you'll spend your first two weeks of onboarding there, and afterwards come in regularly to collaborate with your fellow designers. Living in or near Bremen is a plus.

P.S. Synera is a place where everyone can grow and every voice is valued. So, however you identify yourself and whatever background you have, if this role excites you, please apply with your English CV and portfolio (no photo needed :)) and tell us how your unique perspective will benefit our design team.
